FAQs | Procumo

Frequently asked questions.

Everything you need to know about joining Procumo, pricing, buying teams and deposits.

No. All your transactions are private and secure. The only party who will know your details is the winning bidder. And only so that they can deliver the Product or Service. If you post in the various comments sections on the website, then others may get some insight into your buying intentions. How that could then materially affect you is probably small, but its up to you. We do love a lively community though so please keep that in mind. 🙂

As long as it is legal and non-sexual in nature then yes ! From cafe owners pooling together to get a better deal on Coffee Beans and Milk, to a bunch of successful entrepreneurs buying a 40ft Yacht ( For business purposes of course…)

You have to register or upgrade to a Team Manager role to create your own Teams and Deals.

As we have to do a bunch of work, we generally only accept Products or Services where we by negotiation could save $300 or more. So this would generally suggest a RRP of $1500 +. Popular products get members more easily, however if you are in say, a niche Electronics Hardware business, you could use our platform to secure expensive components such as expensive Infrared Detectors for your Drones etc. Promoting your network deal across various Electronics, FaceBook and Linkedin groups or other, could make this very viable.

Yes. You can start a team for almost anything your business regularly buys. Use the Start a Team page at https://procumo.biz/start-a-team and tell us what you buy and roughly what you spend.

We are a group of Tech Entrepreneurs, MBA’s, CPA’s, and Digital Marketers who are both Ex Big Brands and Ad Agencies. We are supported by an amazing Finance Team, and of course our “Tigers”! Our Tigers come from various parts of the Procurement space. Whether Wholesale Negotiators, Government Procurement Officers, Equipment Auctioneers, IT Managers, and of course even some from the Hard n’ Fast world of Pawn Brokers. Procurement is a science in itself, and so we also totally respect our Suppliers. We work hard to also understand their needs and what is both acceptable and what supports their businesses and cashflows.

And you know what? Our Suppliers love us too. We bring forward cashflow with bulk deals quickly, we fill Planes, Fleet Auto workshops, give Suppliers a bunch of new customers at once, and allow Suppliers to get stock out of the way for new stock arrivals.

Prior to June 2025, the Procumo service was known in the market as The Buyers Network. We love our rebrand as we feel it more strongly and professionally represents what are goals are as a business and for our clients and their growth. The corporate entity and legal owner, Procurement Software Associates has not changed.

Yes. There is nothing to pay during the 60-day trial. After the trial, buyer membership is $1,100 + GST per year. Procumo’s 10–15% fee applies only to new savings.

There is nothing to pay during the 60-day trial. When a suitable offer is accepted, Procumo’s fee is calculated as 10–15% of the savings only. That fee is then added back to the gross saved amount, and the total becomes your new price. After the trial, buyer membership is $1,100 + GST per year. Any Team joining fee or deposit is handled according to that Team’s terms.

You can be a standard user and just join the Teams that you like. Or you can create a Team Manager Account and create Teams and deals of your own. When you are ready to publish it and share it, you need to also pay the agreed Deposit/Joining Fee yourself. This is generally a small % of the recommended retail price and on average ~$50. Any Deal Creation or Team Joining Fee is fully refundable at the end of your Campaign Period if we both can’t attract enough Team members or we couldn’t negotiate a really special deal with a Merchant at this time. You will receive your full refund within approximately 2 business days after the Campaign is deemed closed.

You can and should share your link far and wide. Include it in your Linkedin or FaceBook posts and tag some contacts. Mention it in your Blog Story about a particular topic. If the savings you want to create with your Team/Deal listing, then you may use online ads, your email database or similar, to promote your Team, but please contact our Buyers Network Concierge for the best advice here if you are spending money. Concierge@Procumo.biz

You are always entitled to a 100% Money Back Refund, if a Team deal doesn’t go through to successful completion. Either due to “Not enough Members” to attract a good discount, or “No vendor willing give a worthy discount at this time.” We refund this to your account within a few business days and you will be notified by email.

Joining fees are intended to show commitment while a team is being negotiated. The exact terms are shown on the team listing. If the team does not produce a suitable saving, the fee is fully refundable. If a suitable offer is made and a buyer chooses not to proceed, the applicable team terms may apply.

Some teams have a 100% fully refundable joining fee of $20–$100. It shows suppliers that the buyers are committed and helps them bid confidently. If Procumo cannot save the team money, the joining fee is returned within 48 hours.

We encourage most Team listings to set basic criteria or spend. After a successful bidder is chosen, you can work out directly with the supplier for any variations or extras that you require.

Most network listings have a semi generic format of the Product or Service, and you negotiate the finer details with the winning vendor. So you could customize your Laptops with a higher spec, or a winning Corporate Travel agent will have all the preferences in a Travel deal and their winning price should include this.

Or a Travel related deal might have additional fields to enter your preferences like a 5 Star Hotel with Pool view or ask you to suggest a preferred airline and membership number if you have one.

In short, don’t sweat this too much as you can always negotiate directly with the winning supplier on the finer details or upgrading your specs.

All roles in our system are free to register at this time. However, if you want to create your own Teams and deals rather than deals that are already listed, you have to become a Team Manager.

Team Managers are able to create and list their own Buying Teams for products. They can create multiple (approved) Teams and can even email their own sub-members. Procumo sometimes partners with large industry groups and they too have a Team Manager access to create their own Teams.

If you want something really specific and want to build a Team to save on it, then register as a Team Manager.

There is no supplier membership fee during the 60-day free trial. Your only cost during the trial is the discount you are prepared to give to secure a large parcel of customers. Invited bidders receive the detailed buyer data sheet, so they can understand the category, buyer requirements and expected demand before preparing an offer.

Yes. Suppliers contract directly with the customers who proceed with the offer. A successful supplier could retain those customers for life, subject to the agreement between the supplier and the customers.
